Trip Overview

Mountain safety: 

Mountain safety is our top priority and our main concerned at climb High Himalaya. We will maintain a continual communication with base camp through radios. Acclimatize Nepal will also provide you with Satellite phone, Gamo bag (Portable Altitude Chamber bag) and additional oxygen in case of any emergency. Our Everest Expedition is heavily supported by strong and experienced Sherpas who have been on Everest several times. Our Experienced guide and Sherpas will stock camps, fix ropes and provide support for the climb. This enables you to carry lighter weight and save your strength when you go for the summit bid. Acclimatize Nepal’s support, equipment and service are high quality in order to give you an outstanding chance to summit.

Our objectives:
Our main objectives is to help you summit Everest safely and at the same time enjoy it also. In order to achieve our goal, we will ensure you that you are properly prepared for the summit bid. Acclimatize Nepal runs a variety of mountaineering courses as a pre-Everest training program.

It is also important to acclimatize properly to avoid altitude problems and to keep yourself healthy and fit. Acclimatize Nepal will make sure that you are properly acclimatized before you reach the Base Camp. We have our own hotels in the Everest region and we make sure that you are well taken care of. Once when the Base Camp with all the tents get established we will start our acclimatization process to our highest acclimatization camp which is Camp 3 at 7,400m. From here we will make our attempt to summit Everest.

Food:
Our food for the mountain is well prepared by our specially trained cooks in order to give you the best balanced diet of fruit, green vegetables and lot’s of carbohydrates and proteins. Our cooks have undergone cooking trainings and can prepare you any food even at such high altitudes. We also make sure that they are prepared hygienically as we don’t want any one of our clients to feel sick. In addition there will be plenty of hot drinks, soups, tea and biscuits to eat.

We run two types of expeditions:
1. Full services
2. Basic climbing services up to Base camp and advance base camp.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. Our Acclimatize Nepal staff will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to Hotel.

Day 02: Rest day. Sightseeing in the afternoon.

Day 03: Slideshow, we will talk about the Expedition strategy, final preparations and group dinner.

Day 04: We fly to Lukla (2,800m). Overnight in Lukla.

Day 05: We walk today to Namche (3,440m) along the Dudh Koshi river. Namche is a very colorful Sherpa village with stunning mountains views. We stay in our own hotel in Namche, Thamserku View Hotel.

Day 06: Acclimatization day. Walk to the Sherpa museum. O/n Namche.

Day 07: Acclimatization day. Visit Thame. Thame is a very old Sherpa village and we visit a local monastery. O/n Namche.

Day 08: Today we trek to Deboche (3,700m). We stop at Thyangboche which lies on the way and visit the famous Thyangboche monastery. Get blessings for the Expedition from the head lama.

Day 09: Before leaving Deboche, we visit the Deboche nunnery where old nuns live here. Acclimatize Nepal has completed a restoration project of the nunnery in 2005. We continue our trek to Dingboche (4,400m).

Day 10: A rest day at Dingboche. Explore the area around or you have an option. You can hike 2/3 hrs to the Chukug Valley (4,800m).

Day 11: Today we trek to Dzongla (5,000m). This is a small place with just two small hotels. We stay here overnight and get ourselves ready for the Pre-Everest training which is based at the Cho-La pass. This is only two hrs walk from here.

NOTE: This is an optional program but if you want to continue to the Everest Base Camp you can continue with out staff to Lobuche.

Day 12: We make sure everyone is feeling fit and healthy. We leave early morning and meet our crew waiting at the Cho-La Base Camp (5,200m). After breakfast, we start our training untill afternoon.

Day 13-14: Training at Cho-La glacier (5,420m).

Day 15: We now get ready for tomorrow’s trek to Lobuche East Base Camp.

Day 16: After breakfast we move to Lobuche East Base Camp (5,500m).

Day 17: This is our final morning to prepare ourselves for the summit. After lunch we climb to Lobuche East High Camp (5,900m) and setup tents. We supply you with ration, EPI gas and stove for making your food tonight. The guides will brief you for tomorrow.

Day 18: Everyone is up at 4:00am and starts gearing up. We will slowly make our way to the summit (6,119m) by 11:00 – 12:00 pm, then make our way down to Base Camp. Our kitchen crew will be waiting for you with hot lunch and drinks followed by dinner.

Day 19: After breakfast we start packing our gears and start trekking to Lobuche (4,930m). Overnight in a hotel.

Day 20: Continue to Everest Base Camp. Our camps will already be established and our crew will be waiting for us with hot drinks and hot soup.

Day 21-41: We arrive at Base Camp (5,400m) below the infamous Khumbu icefall. We will spend some time acclimatizing here. The next three weeks we will spent negotiating the Khumbu icefall and climbing to Camp 3 which is at 23,500ft. During these three weeks we will start establishing and stocking three camps. We sleep a night or two at camp 3 before heading down to Base Camp.

Day 42-44: With everybody fit, healthy and well acclimatized, we return to Base camp and just rest and eat.

Day 45-67: We climb to Camp 2, Camp 3, and set up our last camp at the South Col which is 26,000ft. Our summit target date is May 12th-19th. In case of unfavorable weather, we are ready to come down to Base camp for few more extra days to wait for the good weather to return.

NOTE: Acclimatize Nepal’s services will continue all the way back to Kathmandu.
