Rajen Thapa

Rajen has a vast experience organizing and leading treks and expeditions in the Himalaya. He is always ready to share his deep understanding of Nepal and its myriad cultures. He has traveled widely and has worked as a climbing Instructor in Nepal and in UK.

Qualifications:
  1. Basic course in mountaineering from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, India.
  2. Advance course in mountaineering from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, India.
  3. SPA from Plas y Brenin, UK.
Work experience:
Worked as a Search and Rescue Instructor for Nepal Police, Mountaineering Instructor for Nepal Mountaineering Association, Instructor for Boys Scout of America and British School Nepal, High rope instructor, UK (Trek Co), Rock climbing instructor, UK, Canyoning Guide, Mountaineering guide/ instructor.
 

Mingma Tenjing Sherpa

Mingma Tenjing Sherpa started working as an assistant guide to his father during holiday vacations when he was just 14 years old. After attending the Hillary school in Khumjung, he went on to high school and college in Kathmandu. Mingma Tenzing has a degree in Physical Science, but he has always wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. To date he has lots of climbing experience on 6,000m peaks in Nepal. He has traveled several times to Europe.

Qualifications:
  1. Gear athlet of Sherpa Adventure Gear.
  2. Advance ice-climbing course from Khumbu climbing school.
  3. Official guide training from Government of Nepal.
  4. Speaks Castellano.
 

Abhi Rai

Abhi has worked as a climbing and trekking guide in Nepal for the past ten years and has thoroughly explored the Himalayas. He grew up in Darjeeling where he trained at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. For the past three years Abhi has worked during the summer season in the UK as a Senior Instructor at an Outdoor Centre in Cambridgeshire. He has been teaching indoor rock climbing, high ropes, kayaking, sailing and running team building programmes for adults and children at the centre. Abhi’s wife is British and they have twin daughters who have been following the trekking trails of Nepal since they were 9 months old.
